Where were you staying back in 1997? Our guess is traditional hotels: box rooms with too little fridge space and too many rules, eye-watering rates and gut-busting booking processes.

It was in one of those rooms that our founders came up with a new concept. Way before apartment stays and home-sharing became the norm, they dreamed of making staying away from home great by helping people feel like they belong, wherever they are. They wanted to meet travellers’ needs and reshape hospitality by providing all sorts of apartments for all sorts of people in all sorts of places.

And so The Serviced Apartment Company (SACO) – the brand that started it all – was born. 

Designed primarily with business travellers in mind, SACO eventually became the older sibling to a family of brands launched under the edyn umbrella. Since pioneering serviced apartments in the UK, we’ve set the pace for our competitors thanks to our innovative approach and unique guest experience.

 SACO believes aparthotels (which have a fully-manned front desk and check-in service) and serviced apartments (which offer self-check-in or meet-and-greet service for the independently minded) offer so much more than a standard hotel room.
